Recipe
- Ingredients: 2 ripe mangoes (peeled and diced), 1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tbsp gelatin, 1/4 cup cold water, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cup sponge cake cubes, fresh mango slices and whipped cream for garnish.
- Step 1: Soften gelatin by sprinkling it over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Step 2: Puree the diced mangoes in a blender until smooth.
- Step 3: Warm the gelatin gently until melted, then mix it into the mango puree.
- Step 4: Whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Step 5: Gently fold the mango puree into the whipped cream until combined.
- Step 6: Layer sponge cake cubes at the bottom of serving glasses or a mold, then pour the mango mousse mixture on top.
- Step 7: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Step 8: Garnish with fresh mango slices and a dollop of whipped cream before serving.
